Hello everyone! My end goal is to be able to dump my DS games. I have an older EZ Flash IV and a DS that has been flashed with firmware via an R4 I no longer have. (NDSLoader V1.73).

The software I am trying to use is NDS_Backup_Tool (patched with DLDI for EZ4) will not run on my DS whether I use the EZ4 client or manually drag and drop it to my sd-card. All I get is a white screen, any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you! :)

is the ez iv being used in DS mode or gba mode?
can you show a picture of the menu?

it's running ds mode so it is not the issue of running under gba mode..

IIRC i thing the console is redirecting the slot 1 to slot2..
i think you really need to launch it via slot 1..
try without the dldi patch (and copy directly)

I copied over the nds file without the patch and it freezes upon launch. If I use the ez4_client it gives me a white screen when launched.

i know i had read your first post..
mind trying without dldi patch and no ez client patching

Tried renaming to .bin or using a .ds.gba format (not sure what we have for adding GBA headers these days)?
You should not have to (or even use) EZ4client for DS homebrew.

You clearly have DS mode on your EZ4 there. You will have to manually DLDI patch but it sounds like you did that. To that end I am only left with DS homebrew on GBA slot stuff, EZ4 included, often preferring to have it renamed to .bin or use a GBA header.

Wow... Thank you both! It was just the fact that the file should have been named.bin and DLDI patched... Now I know that .nds extensions on the EZ4 won't work.
