Hacking Ez Flash IV and Goomba Color

So I have Goomba flash on the root of my Sd card and I start it but it just shows a black screen, the L+R combo brings up the menu but there are no roms. I used Goomba front to make a rom of Pokemon Red.

did you attach the gb roms to the goomba file from your comp? max size is 32MB.

a screenshot of your goombafront settings might help.

It seems to be in order, maybe it's the header name? I have the Goombacolor on my Mini SD on a card reader. Not sure if that relates some how. This emulator is weird and wonkey.

Yeah, that junk header is a dead giveaway... Just name it POKERED and saves should work properly too.

No dice, still just showing a black screen when I start Goomba Color. I can open the menu buy tapping both shoulder buttons but no games are showing up. I don't get it, I'm following everything.

Are you on a windows 7 x64 system? goombafront is a Visual basic program so is the gbctrim, you will need windows XP to run it properly.

Yes I am, is there a way to do this without having to get a VM? None of the guides or anything mentioned this.

you can download the XPmode from microsoft.

It is still a VM but you do not have to do much since it is a disk image of windows XP already installed.

More likely that the ROM is corrupt. Get another one elsewhere and try that.

I have patched and Gooma'd all my roms on Windows 8.1 x64 just fine, so I'm sure it's not Window's fault.
