hi!

i am looking to buy an ez 3-in-one but thought i would ask - is it compatible with the supercard dsone v3

Yes, it's compatible with almost all slot-1 cards.

Some, like the Cyclo, even integrate the 3-in-1 in the firmware.

Some scds1 users rename gbaexploader to passme.nds and put it in the scshell folder. Then all you do to launch gbaexploader is press L+B. Or you can use the Y's menu to launch gba roms directly to the 3in1.

Of course you can have other setups too via Bliss's multi menu launcher, a bit of file renaming and pre dldi patching you can have virtually anything boot up via a button press.

Seems like a lot of trouble when they could just program GBA support into the menu like a lot of other carts.

Just a guess but I doubt they'd add it as a feature since they already have several slot-2 products.

Does Supercard make a GBA expansion cart similar to the 3-in-1, and if so does the SCDS1 have built-in support for it that allows you to launch a GBA game without having to run a separate loader program?

the sc team dont make a 3in1 type GBA expansion cart
but the scdsone has built in gba loading for all its slot2 carts apart from the rumbles which cant play gba

I think the Acekard 2 also does that with the custom firmware AKAIO.

Well if you have a SCDS1 and a slot2 supercard (supercard CF/SD/MiniSD/Lite) than you can launch from the SCDS1 menu.
IMHO you do not have save support if launched from menu.

3in1 with GBAExploader or ysmenu +3loader works much better
