Hacking Extracting the NES ROM of Super Luigi Bros from 3D world. Possible?

Is it possible to extract the NES ROM of Super/ Luigi Bros from Super Mario 3D world or NES Remix? Has anyone done any investigation?

That's Luigi Bros., not Super Luigi Bros.
He's talking about the mirrored version of SMB with only Luigi playable with his special game physics.

I have tried extracting it from both 3D World and NES Remix with no luck at all.
The game seems to not be in the usual .bin format, which leads many of us to think that maybe Nintendo is using some sort of patch file along with the clean SMB ROM to create the game on the fly.

Mdny others have tried too, but no luck on getting it so far. :/
I don't know if RAM dumping with TCP Gecko might be of any good.

I can't remember to be honest.
I only know NES Remix 1+2 has it, 3D World I think does too, I can't recall if that one had some bonus.

3d world only has the Luigi Bros. game as a bonus, it looks pretty similar to what Blundermann posted.
Also, @VinsCool, a Super Luigi Bros save will unlock it. But if you saw the Luigi horked thread, I'd be weary about trying it with Gx2

Nes remix has a folder named "rom" with a bunch of bin files, but nothing just out and says Luigi or anything.

Also, @VinsCool, a Super Luigi Bros save will unlock it. But if you saw the Luigi horked thread, I'd be weary about trying it with Gx2

You can unlock it with NSMBU?
I just tested it with retail disc and Luigi U as DLC but can't seem to find it.

Is it possible that these ROMs could be byteswapped? I remember that, in the ram dump that had Super Mario Advance 4 VC, the ROM was byteswapped. Do you think this could be the case here?

no the problem is that the patches seem to be done on the fly by the emulator, you can dump the roms but they are just standard SMB and MB rom's not the patched version

actually i remeber when i figured out how to do the NES rom injections the emulator also loaded up the PRG & CHR roms into ram separately too, so in the ram there was 1 full rom, and the split rom i may take another look at some point maybe its patched at that point

Been waiting forever for someone to do this to these awesome games. Hopefully it's still possible.
