i have a 4tb external hdd id like to load games from. Now from my research I’ve gathered that 2tb is the max I can use.

Is this correct?
If 2 tb is the max is there a way to make 2 partitions that the Wii U will see both?

Thanks

Wii U formats the hard drive itself, there is no way to make two partitions. You will just have 2 tb to use period.

I'm assuming you're trying to install almost every Wii U game ever even bad ones, because if not you would have more than enough room with less than 2 tb. Just know there's a 300 icon limit that includes games, homebrew that you may have added, and things like MiiMaker that are made by the Wii U that can't be deleted and that amount can't be exceeded. I have a 750 gb hard drive with 300 games (although some are small games like N64 and DS) and I still have like 150 gb left over.
