Hello all i have spent the past two days going through many guides on gbatemp and wiihacks to get my toshiba HDDR160E03X drive working so i can backup my games, at this point i am so frustrated and so confused on what to do, i followed Softmod ANY Wii by maufrog and updated my wii to the best of my ability but still my hard drive wont work. i formatted it with special tools as a FAT32 and back to NTFS and used wii backup manager and WBFS manager 3.0. i also tried using cios rev19 to update ios but i cant find what exactly i need to update, i have a syscheck report i can post if that will help. my wii is a first gen at 4.1U i have windows 7 as well

sysCheck v2.1.0b7 by Double_A

What's the problem with the hdd? You could try hermes IOS or d2x v6, you can get both IOSes with modmii. As usb loader you should use configurable usb loader.

Then install d2x v6 with base IOS58, maybe the nintendo IOS will work...

you can go into the main settings in usb cfg. an have it load with 223. (m load223). also not sure if this type of hdd, is the kind with a separate power source. if so you need to let it spin up. to use it. when starting the wii just push reset. then try one of the loaders. my older 300gb, wd is this style usb hdd, an this is how i got it to work, before i got the newer hdd, with the power supplied by the usb port.

that is what i did and no it does not, the thing that upsets me is i found it in the compatiable drive list as a ntfs yet mine is having trouble while some people say they can use it without any modding from the guide i followed

sorry about the triple post

Then you'll need to load it with IOS236. The difference between v70 and v70-222 is that v70-222 is using IOS222 as normal IOS and v70 IOS249 as normal IOS.
