Hacking External HDD and RGH

I have X360 Fat Jasper with RGH installed in 2015. I own two external HDD, both 2TB and both from seagate, one is portable and second is this big motherfucker that needs to be connected to the socket on its own. I tried connecting them before to my Xbox and while they work, console freezes after just few minutes and I need to reboot. I wonder if its the size of the HDD or its something about consoles age(I bought it in 2009, pretty sure its been manufactured same year) or maybe software? I could buy smaller external like 500gb or 1TB but dont want to bother with this rather petty size for todays standards if it eventually turns out to not work properly.

I'd gut the portable drive and insert it in the 360.
Internal HDD loading is quicker then external.
Not to mention it's less prone to issues.

Anyway, follow this guide on installing and setting up FSD.
You could substitute FSD for Aurora if your interest is purely piracy.
