Hardware external disc reader

hey guys, im just wondering if i can do this..
connect an external disc reader to my wii then get my wii read the disc via external disc reader,, sorry bad english...
if i could do this it would be great,

i can play games without worrying about wii lens problem

wow that will be great, but my wii isnt connected to internet, and im confused to install it via modmii, any guide please ?? i already downloaded hermes cios v5.1, what should i do next ?? by the way mine is vaio disc reader, that wouldnt be a problem true ??

modmii does not require your wii to be connected to the internet
just use its guide
