Hi everybody, i am a little confused on how to go about this:

A long time ago, I made my current setup for emuMMC, on my 256GB SDcard, and when I was building it in hekate, I only went for 1 or 2 Gbs on the USER partition (which stores savegame data, correct?).

Problem is, now I am running out of space for new saves, or more specifically, for games with larger savefiles. I cannot play, for example, Factorio, or N64 NSO, or MInecraft, and the like, even if I delete some other saves.

So, what I wanna do is just make that USER partition a couple of Gigs bigger.

Would it be possible for me to backup the emuMMC (with all the games and saves I currently have) then reformat and repartition that same SD on hekate, then just restore that backup in order for me to not lose/redownload everything? I'm kinda lost. I know I can just delete eveything and start from scratch but is that really the only option here?.

I think i understand most of the video, but they never do anything to the USER partition when reformating the SD card from hekate, am I missing something here? so it is all based on the emummc partition? im a little confused.

You need to choose the new emummc partition size when repartitioning the sd card. User partition size is allocated automatically (emummc size minus ~2.6GB for system, prodinfo, boot partitions).

By the way you can do everything with nxnandmanager to bypass the emummc size limit posed by hekate. For me on my oled switch there's no emummc size option between 12GB and full 56GB, so I used nxnandmanager to expand my user partition to 30GB. You can create an emummc with user partition up to 1TB.

First go to tools - resize user partition tool in nxnandmanager, it will create an image with new user partition size:

Then open the new image it created, go to tools - emummc creation tool, select your sd card and write the image. You'll need to back everything up on the fat32 partition:

OK, one last question, I got it working now but I think 25 GB for saves is a little bit too much on my SD, so...

If I repartition again from hekate, do I HAVE to go for 29 GB emummc RAW partition? In theory, couldn't I just go for, say, 10 GB or something? so that the new USER partition is somewhat along that size?

Like I said, you need to use nxnandmanager for that, can't remember details for v1/v2 with 32gb emmc, on oled with 64gb emmc you can only go with 4gb-12gb, or the full 59gb in hekate. There's no option in between.

Btw i think the slider for partition size in hekate should be something like 4gb-8gb-16gb-32gb-64gb-128gb-256gb, instead of 4-12gb/59gb.
