yes, but the boxart is the same, the thickness of the box is just to do with different sized power connectors (my jpn dsi has a thinner box because the charger took up like a third the size that my australian does)

i actually use my dx charger with a travel adapter because it's slightly smaller (even with the travel adapter attached

Wow, that is thicker. At first I thought it was just a display, but then it wouldn't have a barcode sticker on it.

Our chargers fail... You can't have anything plugged in next to it. Can't imagine it would be because of the charger though, it doesn't justify making the box 50% larger.

Whenever I want to make a joke about this sort of thing, tj's already made it.

I like the look of the boxart; if the only difference is size due to power adapters, that's fine with me.
Still not sure if and when I'm going to get a 3DS.

I'm not sure why people are surprised about there being a different box... I mean it's not like the boxes for previous generation nintendo consoles have ever been the same in each region.

You mean the UK charger? Thats how ours always look unless they're lappy style ones with boxes halfway down the cable. My DS charger is basically that but in Black with a different end.
