EU 3DS Flashcards Testing

Yesterday I attended a 3DS event in Rome, luckily there was a retail unit (retail system menu, channels, the back faceplate didn't say "dev unit") with NO cartridges inserted.
I had a DSTWO, a friend of mine had an iEvo with the EU bootloader in his DSi.

Sadly, DSi Mode iEvo fails. I don't know if they blocked the whole cooking coach exploit (I don't own the game), but it seems likely.

Cool! Confirmed to work on the EUR, means it SHOULD work with USA 3DS's.

Also LMAO at the fact they will "brick" later when updated.

(it's a joke, people, so ya know).

I will test it out at the Demo downtown, maybe get some footage if it works if I bring my camera.

I am glad we have an event here in Chicago NOT at Gamestop the day before release lol.

What's the most they could do to you? Kick you out? Just get your fill on the 3DS previews and do it before leaving. That's what I plan to do if I go.

Thanks a bunch for taking the risk and posting these! While the likelihood that Nintendo would update the firmware in less than a month until launch for millions of already packaged units was low confirmation is excellent.

Edit: Just realized; someone should forward these to AceKard; it would prompt them to release their firmware update, now that it's confirmed that the firmware is unchanged.

Every single company cares- this is a loss of massive profit we're talking about here. I suppose Nintendo will probably disable 3DSes with Flashcart logs on with their May 5th Update.

They can't steal my property. If there is nothing stating I can't plug in my own card at the event, they have no legal reason to take it. It's not like I am stealing from them, or hacking their device. I would SUE the SHIT out of them if they tried to steal my property.

imagine if that 3ds had logged that particular flashcart and then u use the same cart on yer 3ds. Nintendo would GPS u and get u jailed... ofcourse not!

1.0.0E, I doubt that the update is available outside Japan.

No, it was outside the "main" event building, and the few people from the staff weren't looking.
