Pokémon X/Y haven't been released yet.
Indeed, and people are'nt allowed to upvote or downvote games they haven't played.

I know this is an honor system mostly (at least with released games), but please, please, PLEASE be honest with voting only for games you've played. This is an essentials thread meant to help people make decisions as to what games to buy if they need suggestions. There are dedicated hype threads for most games not yet released, otherwise.

Anyway, sorry I haven't tallied votes in a few days. I was on vacation, and in fact just got back and have to be awake for work in seven and a half hours, so I'm heading to bed. I'll tally the latest votes as soon as I can, though.

I sorry for put Pokemon , but I know I will like =D
Nope. You can't know you'll like something before you try it. You can heavily expect you will, but that doesn't mean you know you will. Id est, I love Zelda, so I'll expect that I'll like whatever Zelda game comes out next, but by no means do I have anyway of knowing that until I actually play it.

I plan on buying x or y for sure even though I don't know what features/improvements it will have or the console hardware it will make use of. (knowing my expectations it will let me down in some way) I haven't decided which version yet, nor have I pre-ordered because I don't know what the difference between the two versions will be. So, even though I know where he's coming from, for the sake of this thread it is WAY too early to start counting our chickens before they've hatched...

Hasn't the difference between versions always been some of the Pokemon included, and occasionally minor story details? Then again, I wouldn't know... I haven't fully played a Pokemon game through since generation 1 (though I intend to at least give X and Y a chance when they come out, since they seem to finally be including actual animations and models).

Well in the case of BW2, the unlock keys you get were different, for instance, B2 got the challenge mode unlock and W2 got the noob mode unlock, I want to be sure to avoid crap like that if I can.

Unrelated side note: I just got done contacting the pokemon JP website in the hopes that (translation failure aside) they make use of all of the 3DS features...because, for instance, AR pokemon card battles would be kinda awesome and they'd make extra money probably.

Someone's gonna end up saying this so I might as well do it. You have to list a reason for down-voting... :P
I down-voted planet crashers because it sucks in general. 3D effects are bad. Gameplay is bad. Price is bad. Dungeons are bad. Storyline is bad. Game is bad.

Question: Are we including those games only found in the eshop?

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
