Well it seems that A actually froze things up, I had to pull the power cord to get it back on.
B takes me back to the "home" screen with all the people running and showing progress from other users.

if it matters my config.txt reads like such

a=fw.img
b=sysmenu
default=sysmenu

Ok so now load haxchi press B button as before u til the wiiu homescreen shows then load Internet browser load homebrew browser select haxchi and it should now update with the new cfg file

Yes change the cfg file to
a=
b=
default=sysmenu

A and B can be anything just make sure it's not sysmenu I think as you had default and b button set to sysmenu is why you were having problems

Alright, here's a config. Ditch loadiine.ovh and keep using Haxchi to boot into sysmenu and HBL straight away. It's part of my config so it should work
"a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/hbl.elf"
"b=wiiu/apps/appstore/hbas.elf"
"default=sysmenu"
[Forgot folder name where's HBL, check it's name in SDCard and change it if wrong]
Delete "'s and insert it in config.txt [Don't forget to save it] and reinstall Haxchi.
After you've launched Haxchi it should boot you into CFW [You will know this when Haxchi just redirects to Wii U Menu]
To boot into HBL, hold A.

Also every CFW-Only game needs to be installed in CFW environment [Oh, and Wup Installer Mod Y]
