I can't think of any other culprit than the SD card at this point. Windows has warned many times that the SD card was damaged and then has repaired(?) it. Also, I've formatted it, without the problem being resolved; perhaps a corruption can't always be resolved by formatting?

Hi, I've got EXACTLY the same issue. Happens randomly in some games. Sometimes after 2 hours, sometime immediatly. It happens only on 1 3DS I've homebrewed. I used the 3ds.guide on 4 3DS with success, not a single issue. But on one 3ds, it keeps happening.

Do you have any news here ? Please if you have any data on the issue, could you post it here ?
Have a good day

Sadly, I've never thought about exactly when this started happening. I'd guess early on, but not immediately. I cannot tell you the amount of times Windows has claimed that my SD card needed to be repaired. I can't seem to remember what I did that would have caused those prompts by mishandling my SD card; I'm guessing removing the SD card while it not being safe is a good guess...

I'm sure the the SD card is the problem at this point, since all other suggestions have been proven fruitless.

If you've got a spare SD card then download everything fresh onto it and try out one game that crashes. If you encounter no crashes then it's your SD card. However, don't count your chickens before they hatch, a crash may come along after a while.

Check if your SD card is fake, faulty, or dying.
  1. Copy everything off the SD card to a computer.
  2. Quadruple reformat.
  3. Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw. Do not skip.
