Does anyone reccomend converting ROMS to CIAs and playing online multiplayer games that way?

Get a 4GB game, dump it via GW and it will come in two files, remember though you will need an 8GB minimum in the side of your 3DS to dump the 4GB game on to then use another app to merge the two files together and then export your header with GW Rom Patcher

you need to be on 4.x-9.2 to be able to dump your own cart header, but for using your own header with sky3ds you will need to manually edit the sky3ds template file and insert your cartID into the template for any games before you copy them to the cart

If I were to dump, say a gamefly game. Would that header be "uncommon" enough to be safe, or should I just stick to games that are 100% mine

nobody knows, theres is no real proof this is a ban, or if it is, what the criteria of banning is.....but assuming its is, and assuming its only based on headers, then safest would be a 100%unique, not being used by anyone else header, but the slim chance of the original cart being used elsewhere at the exact same time your also online, would probably be very unlikely...but a personal unique header would be best

Depends if they have a way to see if a header is being used to for the game it was originally in, if that's the case it's going to be a game changer.

Someone made a good point on maxconsole's "Official GW thread". Using public header's will probably give you a ban, and this is could be Nintendo's answer to Sky3ds.....

I have a PS3 Super Slim and I love it to death so i haven't hacked it and went the legal route...especially that my PS3 phat Multiman died. And I have all the games I really want now.

well if you don't play online, even if you where banned it wouldn't matter....but if you want to wait it out and see if anything becomes clear like if there really is bans or what is the likely cause, just keep your wifi off until further notice

This reminds me of a car. that is a duplicate of the original.

you can sit in it and admire it = play offline

but if you actually want to drive it = play online.....

you need a license plate number to go out in public . You don't have an original one that came with it because it's a duplicate of the original

So, you get the number off of a very very similar looking car to yours and use that number to fudge your way through.

You can cruise around for a while but eventually when a cop get's behind you and runs the plates though the system you're gonna get caught ;O
