Hacking Emunand to AL9H

Where do I start in the guide if I am already using an emunand/luma setup?

How do I copy everything from the emunand in one go? Installed games, emunand partition, everything.

Back up your emuNAND and sysNAND using hourglass9
Then save them somewhere. From there, just flash your emuNAND bin file to your sysNAND, also using hourglass9. All of your games, save, ect. from the emuNAND will now be on your sysNAND.

I don't think that's a good idea it he doesn't already have A9LH.

I think you should make a backup of emuNAND and start the guide from the beggining. After you installed A9LH the guide has a portions explaining how to restore EmuNAND to SysNAND after A9LH has been installed

I was under the assumption they already had A9LH installed. The good news being that hourglass9 only works after A9LH is installed

But IIRC the game saves and game files aren't included in the emunand backup, right? Thats my main concern, having to redownload 16gb of games at essentially dialup speeds is no fun.

The .CIA games and ther saves are on your SD Card. Upon restoring the EmuNAND onto SysNAND after A9LH install, everything that is on your EmuNAND right now will still load from the SD card as long as you don't touch the "Nintendo 3DS" folder on your SD Card. You can backup it to your computer along with the EmuNand backup before folowing the guide just to be safe.

Game saves, games, ect. Are all actually installed to the SD card. CFWs and the NANDS are just a means of reading that information to make them work.
Switching your SysNAND with your emuNAND only changes which NANDS reads what information.

Ah, i see. So just follow the guide as if I didn't have an emunand, do an emunand backup, copy files from SD to pc, then when I am done with the guide import my emunand as sysnand and copy backed up files from SD?

IIRC hourglass has an option to import emunand+keep al9h, right?

Houglass9 by default only flashes with keep A9LH, that's why it's recommended.
And yup, just do all of that.
