Hacking Question Emunand sanity check

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but I'm ill and dosed up to the eyeballs on codine and don't trust my squishy brain right now.

Is my thought process correct here;

  1. I have a 4.1.0 Switch currently using ReiNX - it's never been online and I have a pre-CFW NAND backup
  2. I just got given an SX Pro and want to setup Emunand
  3. I want to preserve 4.1.0 fuses
  4. I don't want to use Auto RCM
If I set up SX OS Emunand and update to 6.2.0 using ChoidujourNX am I correct in saying there is no way that my Switch could accidentally burn fuses as I will always need to use the SX OS payload (via RCM mode) to boot Emunand?
If I boot without going via RCM mode and a payload - I'll just boot into plain old 4.1.0?

Is that all correct?

Yes, you can setup EmuNand, then update EmuNand to latest using ChouDuJourNX, and you'll retain fuses. I'm doing the same thing.
