Hacking Emunand question

Hi, i originally had my sysnand with 5.1.0 then updated burning fuses to 6.0.1 (which i now use it the majority of time offline) and then probably banned but i'm not really sure about that and i don't want to update to see if i am banned. On the other part i have my 5.1.0 nand backup and i would like to use it to create an emunand and try to update and go online with it to see if the ban is real. I know emunand could be detected by nin but they can also ban emunand? if someone know how to use a backup to create emunand thanks a lot

Ban is not nand specific, it's console specific. So even if you made backups prior to you getting banned that nand backup is still banned. Now on the other hand, if you're not yet banned, created an emunand, and got that emunand banned after, your sysnand is also banned.

You can make an emunand using your 5.1.0 nand backup however, all changes you made in your sysnand from the time you made that 5.1 backup up until today will not carry over the emunand you will create (except your console getting banned, heh). You can then proceed to update your emunand using choidujournx

If you want to use your EmuNAND online, why do you want it to be on firmware 5.1.0? You can only use the online functionality if your on the latest firmware. People say that Atmosphere is safe IF you DONT use any homebrew, NSP or modification. Personally I don’t go online with my hacked switch.

Yeah, there are no evidence suggesting you'll be banned when using emunand, but there also isn't any evidence otherwise. So it's best to just stay offline with your hacked console.

i would like to update my emu to the latest firmaware via the update option in system settings. is it safe to update my emu in this way? and atmosphere is better to use instead of reinx in emunand, right?

If that’s the only reason why you want your EmuNAND to be online, use ChoiDujourNX instead.

yes but i don't want to install homebrews ecc on my emunand. i see that in hekate menu there is boot emunand cfw or boot emunand without cfw. can i simply boot it without cfw and update my emu through system settings?

You can only boot to EmuMMC with CFW.

If you don’t use any homebrew apps, NSPs or modification, you should be safe. At least no one has been banned for this. Maybe Nintendo checks more details in the future, therefore I simply can’t recommend to go online.

Let's put it this way:
To boot Emunand, you have to mess with the system, taking along traces of CFW, most likely.

To boot system Nand, you just need to press the power button and go along normally.

Which method is the safest, I ask you? You know the answer, because you seem intelligent.

My recommendation:
Update your SysNand online, officially, if not banned. Then make an EmuNand and enjoy. If banned, go crazy with CFW and save SDCard space and discard EmuNand.
