Could anybody make a wad channel of the forwarder itself from latest version (0.2.1) ?

Thank You very much!

Very great SpaceJump!
Just used your method to create a nice SoftChip Link Channel.

ATM I'm thinking of an all purpose Channel.
Just need to think of the banner design...

I wonder if you could provide me a dol...
Would be great to have otherHB.dol under SD:\otherHB
Or would you give out your source code, so I can compile it myself?

Really nice to have!

Just tell me where the boot.dol you want to load is loacated and I'll compile it for you. Source code is really not ready no be released.
I linked your SoftChip wad from your sig in the list (with credit). I hope that's ok.

@fuxxi: I will make a wad once I get home from work in the evening.

Sure it's okay to link my softchip wad.

Plz compile for me:
SD:\allpurpose\allpurpose.dol

thank you in advance.

The Elf/Dol Forwarder Generic v0.2.1 does exactly what you want to do if I understand you correctly. See the first post for more information.

Ty. I have a look at it:
Meanwhile I heard from some people, that the softchip forwarder.dol in my channel makes peoples BGM skip and giving out errors...
Maybe you could have a look at it again? As I checked the channel and can't see any errors with the channels.

I don't use SoftChip or any other softmod app so I really cannot help you there. The problems you mention don't occur when you load SoftChip from HBC?

Yes. No problems when running through hbc.
Actually I don't have problems with that Forwarder-Channel at all.
But some people in the SoftChip thread...

Could it be cause of a different region?
I would doubt it....

Hm, that's strange cause it's works for you. Can't think of what could be the problem. Something in your Wii setup and theirs have to be different.

I'm doing exactly the same for the genesis channel but I'm always getting code dump, any idea why? I even tried the wad on the first post and still getting code dump.

i have the boot.dol with sdhc support in the apps/genplus/ folder.

Hmm sry but i don´t really understand it.

So for example i use the dol_forwarder.dol. I rename it to test.dol.

Then i inject this dol in a wad.

After that i install the wad.

But then which dol and where will it load on my SD Card?

ty.

SpaceJump: great job on everything but I have 2 small questions:

1. is there a limit of how big the boot.dol can be on the sd cards for the forwarder to work?

2. is the path case sensitive? like genplus and GenPlus will both work?

Thank you

I'm trying to figure out my "code dump" problem.

@pika: Which version of the Dol Forwarder are you using. If it's Generic v0.2.1 then you have to configure in the elf_dol_forwarder.conf file which boot.dol or boot.elf you want it to load.

@kevenz: Yes, the path is case sensitive. Thanks for your wads. Are they tested? Do you have previews pics of them?
