Editing nsbmd files in Mario Kart DS

    I am trying to make a rom hack of Mario Kart DS. Right now I'm trying to change the character models. The models are located in data\KartModelMenu\character\(character name). The nsbtx files contain textures that are easily modifiable with MKDS Course Editor. And I'm assuming the nsbca files are for animations. Obviously the nsbmd files are for the 3d models of the racers.
    What I'm trying to do is modify one of the characters to have just a normal shaped head and nose. Is there any way I could go about modifying the nsbmd files?

    I did not test it but I think you can dump the mesh with GLIntercept0_5 and a nsbmd viewer.
    But in my little knoweldge there is no tool to rebuild a nsbmd or inject a model into a nsbmd file.
    Only textures tools.
