Hacking Edge Problem

Ok well I have Edge with its latest update and can access alot of cheats available, except no recent cheats are being found. I've downloaded the cheat database from this place but my Edge won't find cheats for games like Spore and Digimon World Championship, both of which have been listed to have the codes in the download. Help?

answer to the edge problem is go to settings/misc. then enable cheats. when you go on the games you can access you cheats to the game you want.

yeah, I have cheats enabled and alot of the games have them and are used, just recent games that dont have them that are aparently int he database

EDIT: Also, could someone tell me in detail how to put skins onto the Edge? I've tried but the skin won't work, it just stays as the default and it doesnt appear in the settings/misc

ah, ok thanks. I know what I was doing wrong now

sadly still cant get any cheats to show up, ones that are listed to be in the database but not appearing for me include:

Digimon World Championship
Pokemon Platinum
Spore Creatures
N+
Sonic Chronicles

might be some more but those are what i remember

are you dl'ing the edge version of cheat codes. then remove the word Edge off the edgecheats.dat?

Without the first, the second doesn't run and before anyone says anything, that (2) has zero effect because I can access cheats that the original file didn't have

Go here and get the latest cheats from narin http://cheats.gbatemp.net/ Choose the one that has the (DATE)_EDGEcheats.DAT.zip the date will change as he adds more. Your cheats(2).dat will not work as it has the (2) on it. If you want back up your old cheats and then replace with the edge cheats.dat. Remember you need to remove the word edge off the edgecheats.dot to be just cheats.dat. I would not use the usrcheats as there is a version for the edge.

let me know how it goes. Also you may want to update your edge os as there is a new one 1.41 make sure to back up your saves just in case. Never had an issue but better safe then sorry.

i already tried removing the cheats.dat the edge had to begin with and if i do that, then i get no cheats at all being found, and i already get cheats from that place but i don't have any of the past months updates, all cheats from before a month ago work

So you did get the edge version of cheats from narin then removed the word edge from the cheats.dat file and put it in the edge folder and it did not work? also try removing it and then putting the new one instead of copying over the old.

Look,

Go to http://cheats.gbatemp.net/

Download the one that says EDGEcheats.dat

After downloading,

Open up your MicroSD on your PC,

Go into the edge folder, right click, delete the cheats.dat you already have,

After deleting it, go back to the one you downloaded, (EDGEcheats.dat)

Drag and drop that into the EDGE folder on your MicroSD.

After it's done, right click, and hit rename,

Rename it to just "cheats.dat" without quotes.

I had the same problem, I did everything listed, and I tested it with mario kart ds which used to work with cheats a week ago, is it a defect

Try backing up your games and saves and then reformat your sd card, do a full not quick. then put on the edge software the new cheats.dat and just the mariokart ds and see if it works.

How do you remove your MicroSD from your PC?

Do you just pull it out?

Or do you do, "Safely remove hardware"?

safety remove is automaticlly done for my sd card

u can update the cheat database by going on www.edge-ds.cn then goin to downloads and then download r4cce which is a cheat database editor. U can update cheats they r the same as action replay cheats so search the web for them.
