Hi guys, I'm new here. I have the new 3ds XL running 10.5, and I'd like to run do some save edit for my Pokemon oras and mh4u. I'm wondering what is the easiest way to extract / import savedata? I read some posts here and it seems like there are all kinds of applications and I just don't know where to start... All I want to do is to extract / import save files so I don't really need to break or hack the system or something. THanks!

Use SVDT for extracting and importing and ftpd for transferring or to your computer.

For pokemon there's the PcHex versions. They run on the homebrew menu, so you dont need to extract the save.

MH4G save has two layers of encryption, so I guess MH4U has it either. That means you need to decrypt it again after you exract it.
One more thing, if you're relatively familiar to save format, you can try HexEditor to edit saves on 3ds instead of transferring it to your computer.
