well, if this console is on the latest, then you wouldn't be able to downgrade in the first place. Unless you plan on using these features, and as long as his console is on a firmware where HANS does not work, then you would be right. However, he is on 10.3, so as long as HANS works on that firmware, and he is playing cartridges, you don't need it at this time for this situation. all you would need is to install menuhax through browserhax so you can run HBL.

You guys really need to evaluate the situation before you shove A9LH down everyone's throat to even decide if it is the quickest most time efficient solution that fulfills his requirements.
Yeah, then he accidentally clicks okay the next time his system prompts for a firmware update, and he's locked out of HANS, possibly permanently.

thats a different situation. all he has to do is restore the wrong NAND backup and no more A9LH. Not to mention if he has an issue with accidentally updating, which he did not state, there are ways to deal with it by simply changing the DNS, a process that takes about 5 minutes, not even.

Changing DNS doesn't help when he puts in a new cart game that has a higher firmware on it. And if you follow the current guide, it takes 90 minutes, and you have tools that are built to preserve A9LH and prevent these problems (Hourglass9 will preserve A9LH when restoring nand backups). Seriously, just because you're personally afraid of A9LH and refuse to run it, doesn't mean you should try to convince others not to use it.

im not afraid to run it or use it, im afraid of someone coming in here after installing it and still not having their problem solved, just to hear that all they had to do was install menuhax and run HANS for their current firmware. now they are on updated firmware with some tool full of features they dont even know how to use or may even want to use, and again, if he plans to play a game with newer firmware, he stated he had a newer 3ds for that scenario.

Guys He Just Wants
I want to be able to play rom hacks, japanese games, ect
He can Play Rom hacks With HANS, if he wants Japanese Games As in Cartridges he Can Use Region4Launcher From HBL,
He can Pirate From 10.3, Play Emulators From 10.3, Sounds like He just wants a softmod so He can Just install MenuHax.
If He wants the "Full Experience" He'll get Al9H Stop Shoving it in his Face.
