Gaming DX Case Replacements

Ok, I have £16 in my Paypal account unused and my last replacement screen was completely useless! The damned screen is translucent not transparent and really terrible quality with a million impurites and easy scratching. THIS is the one if anybody's interested

I have a PSP1000 and have been searching Deal Extreme for decent faceplates but only find ones from the same range that my original, crap, black faceplate came from. So have turned to the realms of full case mods to get decent parts, whether or not I'll perform a full case mod is entirely on whether I can be bothered with the faff.

Here's a few I've come across which look decent and if anybody can recommend that would be great (I cannot stand Clear casings so do not suggest them...they look so untidy...)

I like simple colours instead of garish reds and chromes.

If you could PM me when it comes that would be great, after my last 2 experiences on DealExtreme (1 fake Supercard, 1 crappy quality PSP faceplate) I'm very wary of ordering this stuff, I reckon the housings will have better quality screens on them though.

i dont know about the silver,but my friend got the black and white one,and asked me to mod his psps,and i think they are pretty good. i personally like the black one best,though.

I'm tempted to go for white for a nice mix and match of my current PSP black against a new white... if they're decent quality I might order tomorrow

Don't buy them, they suck. I got one and it had so many problems.

got a white one from them, it was crap there transparent and black were good tho. their black faceplate is also very good.

Black faceplate I ordered was absolute shite.
I don't see the point in ordering a whole black housing when all I really need is the faceplate (though the UMD Door is scratched to hell as well...) whereas if I order a different coloured housing I can mix and match my original parts and the new ones. As for transparent casings I just think they look messy and distracting. I prefer simple colours such as white, black or silver to such mess...

This is another possibility... screen in the photos doesn't look particularly good though but I like the transparent black...

but people were commenting in general about the sets that they suck
extra plastic

I really wish I had a 2000 now, I would totally get the Char case. It looks exactly like the official Char PSP!

Has anyone actually changed a PSP 2000 full housing?

If it is done with due care, is there a risk of breaking the PSP?

My PSP 2000 back plate is scratched to hell, but I wonder how risky it is to change it. I would rather have a scratched, working PSP than a mint but dead one...

I'd rate the difficultly at like a 6-7/10. It can be rather difficult if the PSP is not handled with care.
