I had the same problem many of us with the Backup Loader/Softchip have had. Suddenly my Wii could not read the DVDs anymore.
Sometimes it worked sometimes not... Although I burned the DVD at 2x speed and used DVD+R (Traxdata) as well as DVD-R (Verbatim 16x).
I knew they worked before so it had to be something else. Still on 3.2 so that should not be a problem. Maybe the lens can't read the DVD properly?
Nintendo now has a cleaning kit. Bought and used it and now everything is working again. All DVD's can be read again and I must say the first time I used it a lot of stuff came off...
So if your Wii is having reading problems, this is well worth spend. I only paid €6,99 at the Media Markt.
