Do Memorex DVD+R work well with Wii backups? Has anyone used them and had any problems? Tell me please before I start burning.

Oh yeah also I heard that DVD's other than DVD-R hurt the Wii's drive. Is there any truth to that?

Well, my Wii doesn't read ANY DVD+R's.

It sucks.

But if you can, go with Memorex DVD-R's, or any brand DVD-R's

DVD-R's work perfect.

But if you already bought some DVD+R's, try em out.

And no...the Wii's laser is not affected by any type of DVD's.

Ignore the myths.

Yeah I'm gonna buy some but I found those around the house so I guess I'ma use em.
Thanks.

Make sure to set the booktype to dvd-rom if you can. This seems to solve any issues with +r disks.

I've been using -R and +R. I've used Sony discs, memorex discs, and some cheap-ass brand that didn't even have a label on it. I haven't found a kind yet that didn't work on my wii!

some reason my memorex doesnt read

Dude, stop making posts of your "Wii can't read memorex". You create a thread, never gave full detail.

And I dont think you have the sustainable amount of IQ to do homebrew.

(Sorry for the burn there fellas. He's been spamming all over gbatemp)

I've used Memorex +R discs before and they're ok, but nothing special. I recommend Verbatim DVD -R. I have never gotten a read error before on those.
