Hacking Dusted off the old PSP! Some questions

Hey all!

Dusted off the old PSP and have just a few questions!

Its a launch model PSP (bottom says PSP1001) with a FW on it called "5.5 prom-4"
Obviously there has been some advancements in the psp scene since then haha

What is the best thing to do to this bad boy? Interested in playing my backups. Also, do those microSD to magic gate adapters work? Only up to 64GB if I am understanding correctly?

No, if it's a 1000 don't use Infinity (even though you can), get a proper permanent CFW

Simply update to official 6.6x first (may or may not be easy if your current CFW has some form of update blocking), remove the "seplugins" folder from your memory stick, then install ME or (PRO+CIPL flasher) for the appropriate version!
