I recently heard about the AC:CF save editor, and I tried to dump the save using the SaveExtractor, but it did recognize my backup disk. Is there a way to dump the save?

I am using Backup launcher 0.3 Gamma (of course)

Using a backup?

Backup means you dumped the game yourself, which obviously means you have access to the original.
Why not use that?

Unless you *gasp* illegally downloaded the game online!

In other words, no, there's no way for you to dump the save. Buy the game, support Nintendo, and then you can edit the savefile.

Try using GeckoOS...
Use the rebooter option ...
Set up the rebooter to remove the nocopyFlag....

And then you can copy the save to your sd-card and then back on....

Encrypted saves don't work with the AC save editor.

At the moment, The only way to copy a saved file is using kitt050383's method. But Robotic Earthling is correct. Therefore there is currently no way to use the Animal crossing save editor until virus makes us be able to use the encrypted saves. I hope that helps, He said he might in the (Not so near) Future

That's just a load of bull. Use Waninkoko's Savegame Extractor with your original disc and you'll have the unencrypted save on the front sd. Edit it and transfer the save back with Wanikoko's Savegame Installer and you're set.

Thing is though, as mentioned earlier, you either need the original disc or a modchip. (This unless you can convince Waninkoko to rerelease it using cIOS with DIP-modul or something to allow it to load from backups; or release a version where you select which title's save to extract manually instead of selecting it by reading the gameid of a disc inserted as it is now.)

You could probably use fsdumper, pick out the unencrypted save, edit it, bundle it as a WAD, and reinstall it with WAD manager.

Haven't tried it, nor am I sure that it will work; it just might ...
