Hacking Dumb mistake after obtaining OTP.bin

Hi!

Maybe someone can help me out....

Yesterday i installed A9LH on one O3DS and N3ds (or at least tried to ^^).

On my O3DS everything went fine and the hack is running as it should.


On my N3DS i successfully downgraded and dumped the otp.bin.
But then, when i restored my sysNAND (9.2) and emuNAND (10.6) backups,
i somehow managed to mix them up ... (Yes i know i'm an idiot )

I've compiled the arm9loaderhax.3dsx, but my sysNAND now is on 10.6.
Therefore i've got no possible way to install it...


I guess i'm in need of an hardmod.

Or has someone an idea?

Sysnand 10.6 means you're done for.

Don't think so.
The readme of the git (https://github.com/delebile/arm9loaderhax) says that the installer works on 9.0-9.2.

Is there any *hax that lets me inject something in nand on fw > 9.2 ?
I still have firm0.bin, firm1.bin, sector.bin and stage0x5c000.bin...

There's nothing you can do on 10.6 sysNAND if you didn't have AL9H already installed.

Anything you could do with your firm0/1 files you need a hardmod to do anyways. Which is kind of a moot point since you could just restore your sysNAND.bin with a hardmod.

Sadly it's either hardmod the unit, or wait it out for another arm11 exploit to downgrade/arm9 for NAND R/W

You need a hardmod, you won't even have to follow the downgrade method, just inject your sysNAND.bin.

Not hard to do, just annoying.

Time to buy a new soldering iron.
I guess the n3ds hardmod is not harder than soldering a modchip to PS2Slim (damn that took me a long time, about 14 wires...)

Tbh a soldering iron is what 30-40 bucks? Plus solder + anything else you need comes to about $50-60. There are people in this forum that will do a permanent hardmod for 60 and just the downgrade or in your case just flashing a bin file for 40 with free return shipping. Unless you plan on using the tools you buy for something else it's honestly better to let someone else do it for you. Much safer. This is a good place to look for someone to do it for you if you decide to go that way.
