PS1/2 Dual Shock 3 kinda broken

Well, long story short I'm a gamer who throws controllers when mad and my Dual Shock 3 suffered for it. Everything is fine except for the L2 button. After pressing it, the button works but it sticks down for a bit and I have to push it back up. The button only registers on my PS3 after I push it up. This kinda sucks for FPSes and such so is there anyway to fix it. If not is there any way to obtain a new controller with $30 or less (All the cash I have floating around).

Probably not, the Sony ones have a tendency to be pretty expensive. You could always try the (albeit extremely dishonest) method of buying a new one, and then taking the old one back it its place citing controller issues. But that opens up a whole barrel of moral quandries, so it's up to you.
