Hardware dual layer support?

simple question (at least,i think):

does the wii support Dual layer dvd's (using verbatim right now_

i'm burning it for a friend but i just found out i only got Dual layers left right now.

yes the wii support dual layer (Super Smash Bros. is one for example)
some drives (older or dirty) have problems with them
burned means lower signal quality an is therefor even more problematic
