Thanks for all who have helped in this thread. I've made the jump from sxos to atmosphere 1.1.0 without a problem. In the end I had a spare sdcard so am keeping my old sxos set-up on one card and atmosphere on the other.

I'm unlikely to go back to sxos, as I can't see any benefit, as I have atmosphere running, with everything working, and now that I know a little more, chose to reset my sysnand to factory too. I think it'll be safer.

1. Sysnand reset to factory (firmware 5.1) - I'm leaving it completely blank
2. Set Emunand under atmosphere (firmware v12.1.0) booting via hekate using rekado from my Android phone to boot into RCM. Chainloading payloads via SXOS results in a tsec keygen error, so I'm not using the sxos device.
3. Patched using 90dns and confirmed all Nintendo servers are blocked
4. Imported sigpatches
5. Imported all cheats into atmosphere
6. Goldleaf supports external usb hdd, if I plug the cable in slowly

Everything works, really happy with the set-up. I don't think I missed anything recommended by this forum.

I might rename my sxos payloads so it boots into hekate rather than sxos so I can RCM using the sxos device instead of my phone.

Could you upload a custom pack with al the files needed for the dual boot (except the emunand and the nintendo folder obviously) please?

I'm using separate sdcards for sxos and atmosphere and different RCM payload injectors for each.

I did try to dual boot off the same sdcard , and ran the sxos emunand from a hidden partition and atmosphere from a separate emummc folder but ran out of space on the card. I would have shared the same emunand but I've left sxos at a lower firmware (10.x) as it only supports up to 11, and newer games need firmware 12 or 13, which is why I've been forced to atmosphere. I've left my sysnand at 5.1.

Yes. Although I did find it easier to make the emunand for atmosphere "file based" so I could point to that directory more easily via hekate.

Also I found chainloading sxos -> hekate -> atmosphere gave a keygeb error on boot, but it didn't seem to affect anything. However I am just loading hekate payload using my phone as the RCM payload injector to be sure.

Use the daybreak program to update your FW AND before doing so be 100% sure you have booted vis atmosphere and in emunand by checking system information.

There are tutorials to make multiple EmuNANDS on the same SD or you could have separate SXOS SD and Atmosphere SD.

I cannot find any tutorials for having a Emunand on SXOS ( I've currntly got) and adding an Emunand for Atmosphere. Can you link it?

Ok children, My bare bones tutorial is written except.. I can't get it to work. LOL I would like a few people to try it. Mauputi said it worked as written. I am trying to figure out why my 2nd SD wont see the Atmo partition. Some mundane detail I am sure. I have both partitions but atmosphere doesn't see the partition. I have one more idea I will try.. If you want to beta test it I will PM it to you. PM me if interested. I'll give you a credit. Just know its only to get the 2 partition setup and get it running on both Atmo and SXOS for now. I'll add some extras. Also I a reaching out to the authors of most of the software I use to make sure they don't mind that I link their applications.

Thanks @mikefor20 , @LiborNX and @comegalletas , these are the most comprehensive and detailed guides to get Dual booting SX OS and Atmosphere going, there are tons of guides available for migrating from SX OS to Atmosphere but except for the posts by you all, there is hardly any good guide out there for installing SX OS as dual boot if one has already setup Atmosphere on EmuMMC and does not want to start from scratch

It's WIP. I think I need to make it clearer. If you already have atmosphere and you use a backup of its EmuNAND and copy over the working NINTENDO folder it should not require reinstalling anything. In this tut you can copy over your SXOS Parttition, and make a new Atmosphere partition out of it.
