so it seemingly is dependand on the SD Card... funny. ( Too bad I cannot - for the life of me remember the one card that worked flawlessly.

So if you format them with "standart" cluster size it will work with all except the 32 GB one ?

Man with my old SD it was so easy...

Could you share that diskimage (only the mandatory stuff) perhaps ?

It might be the key to solve this problem.

.dmg. Oh, and I see. 7-zip will open it. I'll take off all the unnessary stuff and make a .dmg for you.

Note: This may take a while. Or not.

EDIT: Filetrip keeps rejecting my file at the last moment. It says

Sorry, it looks like your upload failed. Please go back and try uploading the file again! (Err:2)

Gonna try a zipped version.

Worked, here's the link http://filetrip.net/dl?vS14hAiV87

Currently converting the dmg to iso/img so I can use windiskimager 0.7.

Fingers crossed that it works.

If it does then image software once again proves that it is the 100% solution.

Thanks for being patient with that upload btw.

This goes out to all ppl that tried their best to help me so far:

You rock !

This is weird.

After extracting it to iso and trying to write it on my 8GB SD it says this

(see Attachment

I have now got but two options:
1. Ask nicely for a version of this dmg which was created on a 1GB SD Card (as that will work on any of my SD's)
2. Find a way to remove all that empty space from the dmg BEFORE extracting it to iso/img OR remove the whitespace from the iso itself.

7zip is not much help.

It only finds one file called "0_DOS_FAT_32"

the problem is I do in fact not have a larger card.

anything else smaler than those 8 GB ? 4 GB or 2 GB will be fine too...

I cannot restore it as long as I won't be able to cut the size down.

Ugh. I'll see if I can help you tomorrow. I think I have an old 2GB in my R4... it's late for me though.

Also, there was 2 problems with my fix. 1. My 32GB card was now an 8GB card. 2. After I filled the card up with games and stuff the Linux stopped loading...

This system seems extremely finicky regardless, I really don't know what's going on, I suspect it's all just rather buggy.

Really ? Ha. funny. 3:23 AM over here too.

Gotta hit the sack aswell.

Night.

EDIT: I'll be waiting for that 2GB Variant then. Hopefully it will fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Yello ppl of the world. :)
Well, I gave this plugin a try, but it just freezes on the penguin icon...I think. Is it supposed to load for a long time, 'cause it look frozen to me. Can someone help me out?

Doesn't matter I'll only have to confirm if it works for now.

Besides:
I'll keep two MicroSD's either way.

So you got it working?

That's what we're all trying to figure out.

I cannot try that until I got a version made with a 2GB Version.

Like I stated:
I sadly don't have a 16 GB Version to write the image on.

(I'd need a iso image created from a working 2GB or less card)

ive got fingers crossed for ya'll on gettin' it sorted. Although it's not made for DS (256x192 vs 320x240) its a whole new slew of homebrew and some new emulators that take advantage of the extra CPU from the DSTwo.

ive got it runnin on several SDs, and what i can advise is:
1. format with the Windows formatter (do not use fancy format apps like Panasonic- DSTwo Linux hates it and won't boot)
2. drop the Linux files FIRST onto yer fresh formatted card, then add the DSTwo EOS files and such.
3. re-read the thread. the answer just may be in there.

I'll try formatting it in windows, sooner or later.

Oh kk then I'll see if I can get that working.

EDIT: I saw this command earlier in the thread:
Code:
format X: /Q /A:32k /FS:FAT32
If you want to do the same thing in OSX the command is:
Code:
sudo newfs_msdos -F 32 -c 64 -v NEWNAME DIRECTORYOFCARD
I'm going to try that.

Also, did you try the windows formatting, pasc?

EDIT2: (cause I hate double posting) Reformatting it with the command I posted for OSX didn't work at all.

Yes, I tried every possible formatting combination.

BTW: how is that 2GB ISO/DMG coming along ?
