1. Unzip the grade file to the TF card.
2. Find a DS console which support DSONEi/mini to run the upgrade file from EOS menu. (find the file, press A)
3. Follow the instruction, press B, DSONEi / Mini is upgrading.
4. When “Please, Power off” displayed. Upgrade finished.
5. Don’t forget delete the upgrade file.

Important: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER when upgrading, otherwise DSONEi/mini will PERMANENT BROKEN.

Thisis front page news.

Also, WTH? Why has the DSTWO update not been released already?

A notable difference from old firmware updates is that we don´t need the firmware writer anymore.

HOLY SHIT! Thanks Cat Boy! Why is that not on the front page? >_>

And yeah, that's true. I wonder why the FW writer was not needed?

Makes me wish I had a Supercard Onei/DSTwo.

Oh well, i probably not going to get the 3DS, so im hapy with my DSLite and R4DS.

Errr... I am slow. the DSTWO update IS on the frontpage, it just uh... is buried beneath a few other things.

Cool, though! I will update my cart for when the 3DS arrives here (assuming that it works lol).

If not I don't mind another update.

No problem

And it appears you already found it, lol.

From the looks of it, the Supercard DSonei is capable of firmware flashing without the need of the FW writer...which is news to me

I think they didn't used the writer because everyone can update via their NDS/NDSi as of now.

And they probably wanted to experience.

About the update: Like the M3i, it's Finding Nemo.

I wonder if the iPlayer will get a 3DS update.

Acutally, when I posted it was not in fact on the front page YET.

But yeah I have been on a failstreak today.

EDIT: Nope. I was wrong. I DID miss it. >_>

Yet another addition the the failstreak.

The point of the Firmware Writer is that, when the DSi would update, you could not run the SC anymore, thus it was the only way to update it

Guys, the firmware "writer" is nothing more than a power supply - you could always write firmware updates without using it. (although you have to modify the released binaries)
