I would just like to add that this is one hell of a card. The compatibility rate (I am guessing) is around 99%. I didn't test every single rom, but I have yet to find a rom that does not run (cept PoR of course freezes like every other card).
The build quality is top notch....a really solid card. The menu is quick, easy, looks great and can be fully modified/skinned. THe PC software is cut and dry simple as well.
It shows that alot of work went into the DS-Link....one of the best cards out there today.
Been playing around with M3 Simply, R4, Supercard DS One and DS-Xtreme, When i got my DS-Link i have put it back in the box after 2 days and listed it up for sale on a local online site like e-bay (one that allowas more)
To say, it isn't one of the best cards i have.
No drag and drop (you have to use software to put it on the TF/MicroSD)
the user interface isn't that great (ok, supercard isn't that good to)
the case feels very cheap
No nice box it came in (where's the alu box that's shown in every review ?)
Software wasn't provided and the chinese webpage is VERY SLOW, the english one i can't even access, it asks for a password and login.
Your DS needs to be Flashme
etc...
To be honest, i bought the DS-Link to figure out the saves of games, but even that didn't work to well
The Supercard DS One has an option to set the savetype of a new game and set it and save the setting all within the GUI (Hacked Moonshell with extra options) Without waiting for an updated list M3 simply/R4/Ds-Xtreme don't even need those list or settings.
Anyway, just my opinion, ds-link isn't the best one out there, if i set the slot ones in order of how i would rate them
R4/M3 Simply (Same manufacturer, same card)
DS-Xtreme (better homebrew support then the 2 above)
Supercard DS One
DS-Link (needs Flashed DS)
But that doesn't mean it is the worsed one of all slot1's out there
it could be better then X9, 1:1, or whatever other slot1 cards are out there, i really don't know cause i never had those
.
