I ordered a replacement top screen for my DSi XL. When I swapped it in, I was really careful since I’ve already done the same thing on a 3DS. It took me a long time to get the console to detect the top screen so it would turn on, but once it did, the screen just stayed black. I’m sure everything is plugged in correctly because the backlight works, the speakers work fine and the bottom screen also works. Another issue is that in some menus, like the console settings, the bottom screen shows this weird distortion effect, kind of like an old TV, which wasn’t there before (it fixes after some time, but comes back). Is there any fix for this, or should I just ask for a refund? It was almost 25 usd

FIXED: After giving up and trying to redo the screen change, i tried one last time and now putting the ribbon cable with a little extra force (i was afraid of breaking it) and it freaking work, like i can't believe it. Sometimes it would appear like its on the ribbon connector, but it isn't, you will see that some side of the plastic that connects the screen with the board isnt perfectly aligned with the other, it needs to be perfectly aligned.
