There is actual DSi homebrew.
But it's on the internet.
There was this specific site made for the dsi.
They made a chat, a painting program.
Forgot the name

Heh.

Thats not homebrew, that's just the classic hack exploit thing, and the cooking coach exploit thing

About this thing... what is up with it? Is it not a full hack or something? Because it seems like it would be. Is it just that no one is using it?

If I understand it correctly, the exploit is limited by what is injected into memory...
So Exploit+Code must be under a certain size with the exploit taking up a fair bit.

Yah, it's limited to ASM and a certain size since it must be injected in the .sav file.

From what I remember, there were about one or two games made. Honestly, the save chip size leaves very little space to work with. People dropped it because of the lack of potential basically.

Team Twiizers was making some level of progress last I checked, but it was far away from being anything. It was more of a proof of concept at the moment. Their last posts really covering anything was about how they tore down a DSi and hooked it up to so RAM dumping circuitry so they could get a pretty hardcore analysis.

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
