Hacking DSi Firmware: Country-interchangable?

I just got myself a DSi, and it's a US-version DSi. However, I live in the UK (yes, I know, I should've just got a UK one, price difference etc.), and I was wondering if it was possible to flash the firmware with the EU version (1.3U to 1.3E), or if it would ever be possible in the foreseeable future?

Also, as an additional question, not really flashcart/firmware-related, but are EU Nintendo Points usable on the US Wii/DS Shops?

idont think you can flash firmware but us points are for us dsi and and europe points are for europe dsi

Possible in the future but right now no its not possible. To the second question I don't know.

I've got an European DSi, but the Dsiware of an US DSi is way better.

...Though getting Nintendo Points might be difficult...

u might b able 2 pleed with nintendo I know they can do a firmware reset but u would loose all ur downloaded games and Nintendo Points but im quite certain if u sent them ur DSi and tell them ur story they will do it for u after all they get profit because u dont get 2 use ur alredy bought Ninterndo Points...

There are special websites were you can buy US Nintendo Points online. And they I will send you the code to your email.
