I was thinking of setting up cfw for my friend but I'm thinking twice about system transferring as I have a modified twl firm. My question is that would it be safe to system transfer? I'm scared of bricking my friend's 3ds

Okay I have another question. If I system transferred my o3ds with a9lh on ver 11.2 over to my unhacked o3ds xl running 11.1, Which auto-firm should I use?
If the unhacked 3DS is still running 11.1 due to ctr-httpwn, then use AutoFIRM for 11.1.
If it updated in the system transfer, then use AutoFIRM for 11.2.

Sigh. I need help yet again. After system transferring from O3DS TO O3DSXL, it errored out and didn't transfer any of the dsiware. So I followed the troubleshooting guide and it said there that I should restore my O3DS and copy its dsiware to the sd card then transfer the sd card to the O3DSXL and and just copy the dsiware to the system. Problem is, when I restored my O3DS to a nandbackup, it went back to using the old id0 folder in the sd cardt. Thus the dsiware that I copied again from my O3DS cannot be read by the O3DSXL. Please help if I just misunderstood the guide.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.+1 -

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
