I need some confirmation:
I have never used a rom trimmer before, but is there any difference between trimming the roms and not trimming them (other than size)? I have also heard that rom-trimming causes a lot of problems. Is this true?
And final question: I am playing Tony Hawk and if I trim the rom and put it back on my M3 Simply, will the .sav still work?

The only difference is size. Trimming trims away the excess junk that is not part of the game (Just filler space, since the rom sizes go by 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, etc).

Rom Trimming does not cause a lot of problems. The only problems I've heard of it causing is breaking wifi play, which is where Safe Trim comes in, because it preserves the wifi connectivity.

You can trim your rom and your save will still work, yes

It's not changing how the game works at all.

Wow thanks for the fast reply!

So you mean that if they have a 57mb game they will just fill it up with blank space until it is 64mbs?

Basically. Like I said, if the game itself is 57MB, then it's on a 64MB Chip -- the entire "chip" is dumped, blank space and all.

Oh I get it now. Oh, you should make "Safe Trim" a check box instead of a button. Just a recommendation. I am going to use DSClippers for all my roms now. Thanks for helping!!

Worked fine for me on Windows Vista.

Yes, but you need to remember, there are about 3,000 versions of Windows Vista, including:
Home, Premium, Home Premium, Business, Home Business, Business Premium, Home Business Premium, Premium, Ultimate, Ultimate Premium, Ultimate Business, Daterape Edition, Pwnage Plus, etc.
