Wow, thank you for keeping this up too date!
I love the improvements, but my number one grief is there's no tactile feedback when typing. I simply feel like I'm not typing anything at all when I press on the screen. If you could add a discolor, and/or small click when tapping on a key, that would be awesome!

(Way better than the psp DOS emulator) :yaynds:

Thank you~

Frontier was broken in 0.24b and still no longer gets any further than the soundcard selection in 0.25b. Also Gunship 2000 still cannot has issues with the Mission Information screen.

Alone In The Dark 2+3, Dark Forces, Hexen, Heretic and Rise Of The Triad no longer give BSOD, though Cannon fodder still gives an "unsupported opcode" error and Lemmings 3 still just gives a blank screen (both were working in 0.23).

Newly working games :

Dark Forces - Partially working - Now gets ingame, but gives an "unsupported opcode" at random.
Gabriel Knight - Playable - Works, complete with sound.
Normality - Playable - Works though is a little slow.
Sensible World Of Soccer - Playable - Works perfectly.

Logfile

Great work again Pate :yay:

Games that cant be played but dont produce missing opcodes error-

Turrican 2 -hangs on startup
Xcom - hangs when in the tactical view, I think it happens after saving the game and then scolling around,
Master of Magic - Start a game, click through the options to create a world. When it finishes creating a world the game hangs
Moonstone-hangs on startup
Heroes of Might and Magic 1 - doesnt start
Alien Legacy - hangs on startup

Wow thanks Pate. I'm gonna play some games. I've been following this NDS since it was here in GBATemp and trying with Dune 2000, so I try it again when I update it.

Thanks again

ok my update
Dune 2000 - works with out sound
Detroit - works without sound
UFO 1 - starts, as long as sb is disabled, but then goes to first game in menu batch.
StarControl 2 - work, no sound

no issues installing windows 3.0

have you tried running each games setup/install program?
You can choose adlib or soundblaster
(not soundblaster 16)

Ive played Xcom with sound after setting up the right audio options

Could anyone try Jazz Jackrabbit for me? I don't have a DSTWO yet, but I'm very curious whether it works or not.
Thanks in advance!

Jazz Jackrabbit does not work yet, as it needs some protected mode features that I haven't yet implemented properly.

Happy New Year!

DS2x86 version 0.30 released!

This version has the following major changes:
- Completely rewritten transfer system between the MIPS and ARM processors. Note! The new transfer system is not finished yet, so everything does not yet work quite properly. Use this version only for testing the new system!
- PC Speaker audio (beep) is supported.

Thanks again for your interest in DS2x86!

Happy new year to you too !

I wish to be able to test this new version, but i bricked my dstwo a couple of month ago with a stupid test .
I hope one day sc team will consider to release a proper unbricker.

Anyway, thanks for this new release.

Thanks for your efforts Pate.
I'm at vacances. I will try it later.
Happy new year for all tempers of that thread

i tried my favorite game, UFO and it worked very well, no crashes
the best thing is the Input is fixed!

usually I would use the D-Pad to control the mouse and it would move by itself every so often,
this would make the game unplayable

but it seems to work fine now
thanks!

(ill test windows later when i recover a bit more)

(I cant seem to get those arrow buttons to work that move the zoomed screen)

when a game goes from one exe file to another the mouse and screen options reset

e.g. going from geoscape.exe to tactical.exe
the mouse option goes to 'no mouse' and the screen option goes to 'zoom'

When I turned the music off for UFO I noticed there seemed to be a constant background noise, I thought this was the music before.

Hi! Yes, the input problems used to be a constant annoyance (and cause for frustration) with the old transfer system. With the new transfer system those problems should now really be a thing of the past!

I seem to have forgotten to add the screen scrolling using the touchpad icons, sorry about that.. The moving of code from the MIPS side to the ARM side is still somewhat incomplete, this scrolling code is one of those partially-moved features.

I'm not sure what could cause the constant background noise, it might be some problem with the SoundBlaster emulation.

Thanks for testing!

Thank you very much for your work with ds2x86, Pate. I figured it can't hurt to ask, so do you have any plans to resume development of CATSFC? Would be awesome :)

That was Shadauxcat actually.
Oh pardon me. English is not my native language. What I meant is if Pate wants to continue development of Shadauxcat's CATSFC since Shadauxcat said he doesn't have much free time anymore for this :)
