I recently picked up a PS3 so I haven't really been playing my DS. The other day I decided I wanted to play some contra 4 and a little bit of Mario Kart. I fire up my DS and play contra 4 and everything appears fine. I played for roughly an hour before tossing in the CycloDS evo. It starts up fine and goes to my rom list and then it's like the D-pad or the Evo itself forces the "cursor" to scroll down. It lets you scroll back up but the second you let go it goes back down. Has anyone experienced this? should I clear the roms and reinstall everything? I'm just hoping it's not a faulty card. I've had it for roughly 6 months.

Thanks in advance for any info/replies.

Stupid question, but did you try turning it off, then back on?

If so, i'd just try reinstalling the firmware on the card. If *THAT* doesn't work, yea, pull everything off, format the microSD and re-drag all the shit back on.

I don't know if ANY of these would work, but thats the order in which i'd do it

Yes I definitely powered it on and off a few times. I also pulled the Cyclo and checked the prongs for dust/dirt and fired it up again. I probably did this 2 or three times before giving up on it for the time being. I'll try doing what you suggested and go from there.....

And no other games are having this problem? Just the cyclo card? Have you tried starting a rom or something and seeing if the Down is stuck somehow? (i.e. in the menu its constantly going down... in a rom loaded, is that still happening?)

As well, do you have another DS you can try the card on? That would be a good test if none of these ideas work

I'd have to double check everything. I'm at work currently and it's been a few weeks since I last fired it up. I'm pretty sure that once in the actual rom everything works fine. However in the menu screen it appears the D-pad is stuck in the down position. I've played Contra 4 just fine which is the actual game and not on the Cyclo so I'm assuming the issue is somewhere with the Cyclo. I'll throw up an update once I get home from work.
