Hacking DS Lite Volume

Well I'll get right to the point. The DS Lite Volume in my opinion as of now is mediocre at best, especially in some DPG videos. Not to mention that it's even softer than the DS Phat. The point of this thread: is there any way (hardware or software) to increase the sound output of the DS, the MoonShell 2 barely adds any volume. I know that the DS was not created to be a multimedia system, but it can't hurt to make use of the most amazing homebrew in DS history right (don't try any hearing-lost pun please :[).

i read where the dsi is louder and has better sound. can anyone confirm this?

Using common sense, it probably does because playing music is one of its main purposes.

i would disagree with that. for the most part it's main purpose isn't playing music, otherwise it would play the mp3 format(and an eq). they made it more as just a novelty or gimmick.
