Hi, so I have a major issue with my DS. It will not charge at all, the light will not come on or anything either. I left it connected all night and come morning it hadn't charged at all. At first I thought the charger was broken so I bought a new one, I still have the same issue. It works perfectly fine otherwise, it reads and plays gba games and DS games without issue. Someone suggested that one of the fuses may be broken. I unfortunately don't know how to solder nor do I have a soldering iron. So I was wondering, is there anyone in this community who is willing to repair my DS for me if I sent it to them? Of course I am willing to pay.

If it is just a DS lite fuse (and it is the first thing I would look at with those symptoms) then any local electronics repair shop should be able to handle it, no particular need for a more specialist service like some other mods.

Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. Do you happen to know where I can buy some replacement fuses?

It is not a specialist device, I am someone on one of the usual tat reselling locations will have ordered a bag of 500 of each and is selling them off at a few hundred times markup in a "kit"
It is the sort of thing you could find at any

I don't know if they are even technically fuses used for this -- some will use 0 Ohm resistors instead and they function in much the same way. I shall dodge the "should I just bridge it" discussion.

Your local mobile phone repair shop (the sort of place that sorts smashed screens and what have you) should have something suitable in stock.
