I just got a Nintendo DS Lite + R4 but the R4 is stuck at the loading screen (With and without the SD Card) so I figure its dead. Now I figure I'm gonna want to play my old GBA games as well so I might as well get a Flash Cart. I'm looking for ease of use and performance. I hear about patching etc and would rather not do that.

Acekard or EZ5i + EZ Flash 3in1
I have the EZ5i + EZ Flash 3in1 on my DS lite and I'm happy with it
but for you I think it's better if you go with the Acekard and EZ Flash 3in1

or are you looking for a flash cart that can play NDS and GBA?

Well if 2 seperate cards are better and cheaper I would go that route unless its far better to get a one card solution.

1-cart solution = Supercard DSTwo. It plays DS roms, and is the only slot 1 card currently capable of GBA emulation, but the emulation is not perfect.

2-cart solution = Acekard 2i (or whatever cart you prefer) (slot 1) and an EZ-Flash 3-in-1 (slot 2). The EZ-Flash loads up GBA games, and acts almost the same as an actual GBA cart.

The DSTwo is expensive, but the EZ-Flash is starting to get harder to find, and each solution will end up costing you about the same amount.

With the EZ Flash 3in1 you get great GBA game compatibility
The best cart for NDS and GBA is the DSTWO
The DSTWO GBA game compatibility is not as good as the 3in1, but it's good enough for me

The DSTWO cost around $35
Acekard($15) + EZ Flash 3in1($20) should be around $35 too

Use EZFlash instead of an DSTWO,
You can use the rumble function,
the ram for the NDS Browser and DS Linux,
and it saves battery life...

Well I was messing around with My R4 and just found out it wasnt workign because its and R4 Upgrade III
