I was wondering what holds them in?
I've seen some people open up there ds and the buttons and pads stay in place in the shell.

I ordered some replacement pads because my buttons on my DS Lite are pretty far gone and hardly respond.

This is my first time messing with something like this and just wanted to get all the answers and would like to know if I need anything special for them.

Also I don't have them yet so this is more of a preemptive question.

So, nobody knows? I was hoping somebody hear could tell me. I guess I'll check back in another couple days.

Not like DealExtreme is that fast anyway.

The pads are not hard to replace....

Good luck with the L and R buttons though...

I felt like

Errrr there is an outline, like a raised border sort of around the buttons say the D pad you get a cross outline that is raised. And your silicone pad just pops on, and since they are light and sort of grippy, they stick on.

Thought I would note - The board is not raised, but the plastic casing is.

As for the shoulder buttons, I don't know why everyone complains about them, they are easy to put back in?

Thanks for the info! Now I'm prepared for the day the pads come.
Whenever that will be, but I haven't been playing my ds lite lately so it really doesn't matter.
