So yeah, my Acekard is working great!(http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=197059) Then Guess WHAT? The screens turn EXTREMELY bright. ?Not even. No not bright, WHITE. I'm playing Mario Kart and I can barely see. Now, It's not a BLANK screen, it just most of it is really white. No color at all. Kind of like on a camera, the negative function except no black! Whiter though. What is wrong how did this happen how do i fix this?

Well not really knobs, perhaps a screw is more the word to describe it, naw, not even that, it's a little circular thing you can turn, and this is INSIDE your DS. So you have to get to the actual motherboard to turn it, in the DS Lite you only need to lift the battery case to do it, I'm not sure about the DSi though.

That being said, I didn't realize you were under warrantee. It is muuuuuch smarter to just send it to them.
Sort of related: My lower screen in dimmer than the top one... could messing with this knob possibly allow me to make it slightly brighter?

WTF? I tell Nintendo that my street is 43rd, and tell them zip code 11232. They put 23rd, 11210. I tell them to fix it but they fix the st to 43, but they say that there is no zip code in the USA as 11232, and it's invalid. WTF do I tell em?

Oh Thank god. I have been searching the net all week for this problem.

My Daughters DS has this exact same problem. To make it clear, she uses a DS Lite, with no modifications, nothing unusual at all. Just plays normal games (mainly club penguin and Nintendogs) Last week, she said her DS was going funny. I looked and it was fine, then suddenly while she was playing, both screens went mega-bright, like white, and all you could see was some sketchy outlines of things in black lines (like OP said, a bit negative like).

Then when she touched the screen again it went back to normal, then back to white, and keeps flicking between the two, (mostly when you touch the screen, but sometimes if you just press one of the buttons)

So it isn't a problem caused by using any non Nintendo stuff, and it definitely happens on both screens together.

Have any of you with this problem found a solution yet, or have you sent it off to Nintendo and had an engineers report back on it.

Please, please let me know, as ours is out of warranty, and I can't afford a repair at the moment.

Thanks

Hey guys,

Any luck with this white screen issue? I have the same problem with my DS lite. When I touch the bottom screen, both screens go super bright white and you can barely see the outlines. You don't have to be in a game, it happenes in DS main menu too.

Thanks!
