I've been watching this thread since day one and couldn't help noticing that no one mentioned DS flashcard "unbricking" on a Nintendo 3DS. It was possible on a NDS because card swapping was allowed back then. Now that NTR mode is running under TWL mode with card reset support, would it be doable?

Yeah you just have to do a card reset before launching the unbricker tool.

You have something on hand to test? I can make a stage3 launcher for it and have the bootstrap card reset before launching the unbricker.

3ds craft has no trees thats why ds crafts better

oh okay, i guess since 3dscraft has no trees god himself will reach down from the heavens to patch dscraft for you

If someone wants to patch dscraft, they'll do it. There's no ETA because right now people have better things to do. If you want to fix dscraft yourself, I bet people would even be willing to help you, but I have no idea how difficult it would be.

And at that point, adding trees to 3DSCraft would be a better use of your time.

Testers needed (mostly flashcart users):

https://github.com/ApacheThunder/NTR_Launcher/releases/tag/0.9b

Curious as to how many flashcarts are bootable with this. It's basically a stripped down version of Nitrohax that only launches the card in slot-1 without a cheat engine. No SD init or DLDI and is quick.

Remember that little app on Filetrip by tbe name of "Launch DS Cart"? Well this is basically that only open source because who ever made that originally was a douche and didn't open source it (totally broke GNU by doing that).

My version is a little better anyways. It works on a 3DS/n3DS. :D

Maybe some older flashcarts will work with this. Wold save me the trouble of having to make more stage2 launchers. This is basically a universal stage2 launcher. :D

This uses ahezard's new card reset code. You need patched dev launcher to use this just like with the new release of NitroHax. If you fail to have patched dev launcher, the program will give you an obvious error telling you what went wrong. :D

Luma3DS 6.1 version, New 3DS, using alt version. DSTWO+ doesn't boot. This (spoiler) piece of plastic does. Pretty cool, I'd say
EDIT: was able to boot Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon SoulSilver. White 2 doesn't boot

I guess it makes sense for DSi enhanced games to not work. I wonder if there's any way to work around that. I guess it depends on why exactly they fail. In theory we should be able to spoof TWL to games that want it, considering we have access to the hardware? But I know software that thinks it's in TWL has bugs in NTR, like no touchscreen support. I wonder if the same thing would happen in official games?

I'm still trying to figure out why my o3dsxl is absolutely refusing to run the patched twlbg, even the newest luma which does it automatically isn't making it work. I've found no clues as to what my problem is, other than the fact its not loading at all, despite everything i try to do. Basically, every time i try running something like nitrohax or hb_menu, two things either happen: a black screen hang, or "an error occured." Can anyone help or am i just destined to forever use a flash cartridge?

How big is twlBG.cxi?

Did you download today's update? If you did, open luma config by booting while holding select. In 6.1.1, you need to activate the patch on the config menu.

@Apache Thunder, what are the chances of a loader for DSTWO? Would it be as simple as just applying the CPU clock patches at boot and running the cart normally or would a custom loader compatible with it need to be developed? Sorry for bothering you - there are a few DS games I'd love to see if they benefit from increased clock speeds. I do have an original R4 somewhere around here though... might go find that for now.
