Gaming DS Hinge Craking AGAIN

SO i did a case replacement on my DS lite last spring because the original one cracked and left me with a flimsy ds

Well i finished up the case mod a little into summer and so far so good, until yesterday when i was playing and i realized that i could see cracks and weak spots in the exact same spot on the hinge.
I dont get it, i bought a case and a brand new cam shaft too.
Its only been 5 months and its already in need of repair/replacement?
Am i doing it wrong?

what kind of case did you get??
I'm asking because I bought a cheap one off amazon and it was one of the cheapest crap I've ever bought
none of the buttons fit right and I think the case fuked up my flat wire,
but, I've heard the shock case was pretty good but I haven't tried it myself

I'll probably buy a magnum chrome for my ds lite

Are you leaving the lid open in any position other than the two "lock" positions for long periods of time?

Well @RoMee: I got a cheap DX clear plastic one, theres my first clue huh. But i just wanted a nice clear plastic case

and it did the job, stuff fit nicely and the only problem i forsaw was that the case was just a smidge tight. just a hair.

I got a ds lite that got cracked too and eventually broke off, so got a dsi xl, so far so good =( if that one cracks and breaks off, I am going to scream

See i think the DS lite and the DSi are built so simularly they didnt fix the problem but i feel like the DSiXL should (SHOULD) be in the clear.
