ok so i bought the clear case from dealextreme for my nds lite and i need to know how to make skins.... i have the template and i have photoshop but whenever i put in a pic it is always very very small....so i need to know the dimensions of the image that i want to be on my ds....thanks for the help =P

I uploaded this template I use for printing mine. It's a PSD file, and I modified MadCatz template so it's 300 dpi instead.
PSD Template

The canvas size is 8.5 x 11 in, so it's ready for printing on letter size paper, but you can change and adjust if you want. What I do is, I set the canvas size as the size of the paper I'm gonna print the skin on (for instance, I use photo paper size 8.5 x 11), then I print the image directly from Photoshop. What you can also do with my template is, save it as a JPEG or PNG, then right-click it on Explorer, then Print it from there. Always works for me

thanks for the template=) but all i see is like numbers at the top and bottom when i open it ....

you need to put the images you're gonna use in the folder underneath the layers of the template. Then move them and adjust their size. The template has 'holes' in them where you need to put the pictures. Try to delete the background layer (the lowermost layer) so you can see them better

Yeah, you can use any paper so long as your printer can handle it

@TraumaHoundNDS>>Thanks. I wasn't satisfied with the images the MadCatz template produced, image quality was too poor. So I made my own based on it

i could use photopaper right??

I'd say the only problem you'd potentially have with photo paper is that if it's too thick the case might not set properly on the DS. Even with no insert at all I had to file down a bit of the plastic near the shoulder buttons as the frame was pressing on them. Now it fits perfectly with the stock inserts (I have yet to print out a custom insert though now with this new template...)
